I have had cheap reels last longer than this one. Of course, just after the one-year warranty expired, the reel's bail would no longer close when reeling. I have to close it manually EACH time if I want to use it. I am fearful of trying to repair as my experience in the past with bail spring replacement has been challenging. A 10 cent part will probably cost me a few dollars through Pflueger. Very disappointed.

I've had Presidents for decades, no problems. Moved up to this Supreme last April, and loved it until the bail started getting loose a month ago. Pretty sure I just need a little spring to fix, but Pflueger support is non-existent. 0 response to calls or emails for nearly 2 weeks now. Disappointed.
