Overall a decent reel, but to use the drag in any sort of capacity it needs to be almost entirely tightened down. Not a lot of range to use while fighting fish. Good if you're only catching fish less than 12" long though

I like this reel a lot, except the no reverse part. Without reverse, a lot of line twist happens when fighting fish.

I purchased this to put on a 28" Fenwick Elite Tech Ice Rod. The balance is perfect and it holds just the right amount of line to fill the spool up, which means less line twist. I now have two of these with different line weights. With the purchase!

After fishing for white fish on Green Bay with Guide Capt. Bob Claus i noticed that hese were the reels that he gave to his clientsto use and abuse and they survived for years... That recomindation and my experance in using them made me a believer in these " right priced" great little reels.

Great little reel. Perfect for smelts and even big enough for pike. Recommend this product to any ice anglers .
