I love the looks of this reel, kind of retro with modern machined spool and frame. I would have given it five stars if it had the adjustable friction drag instead of the click pawl. I purchased the 78 size. It has a standard arbor and plenty of room for 200 yards of #20 backing with WF-9F bass taper fly line with room to spare. I could have gone to #30 backing but no need to for Oklahoma bass which shouldn't see the backing, used to make a larger arbor out of a smaller one.

Great reel, but you already knew that! Stands up to South CentrL Alaska fishing as expected....... huge lake trout, all five salmon species, sheefish up north, you name it! Go buy one, or two. I think better constructed than the indestructible old ones!

I look simple click pawl reels and this one seems to be a great example. I only used it on one trip so far and it has held up very well. Caught some wild Rainbows in little creeks up in the Sierras and it was like heaven, facilitated by this reel.
