Purchased this outfit for an 18 year old whom I am mentoring. He is using it to catch trout in a DWR stocked pond and catching limits daily. While I was at it, I purchased another for his mother who is also catching limits of trout. Excellent light fishing outfit.

I just bought this in may and boy am I happy with it started fly fishing with it and it is great for beginners

I bought it today and the reel wouldnt click into place, but after trial and tribulation and throwing it on concrete it finally started working. You should really mention you have to curb stomp it before it works.

I bought this on a whim to take with me on a recent vacation. I fish mainly lakes and target smallmouth and largemouth bass. I had noticed on a previous trip bass feeding on the surface on spiders and flying insects at typical times and figured it would be worth a shot over the week to see if some of the topwater bass-specific flies would work and at this price what was the downside. I was nervous since I fish from a kayak and had never used a fly rod before. This was perfect! Can't recommend it enough to give fly fishing a try. I'll upgrade for sure. On 3 of the 7 nights, I caught fish on the rod when nothing else was working. On top of that fighting a bass on a fly rod from a kayak was the best experience I had all week.

I bought this a month ago and I love it. So far have caught ten trout rainbows and a bass so much fun
